About the Role
RIVRS is a game studio focused on Roblox and Minecraft, with teams in France, Vietnam, and Indonesia. We launch new Roblox games regularly, deliver weekly updates, and use player data to guide our decisions. This role focuses exclusively on Roblox.
We’re looking for a strong, hands-on 3D game artist who can lead and develop the Art team across all RIVRS Roblox projects. You’ll create high-quality stylized game assets, set clear art direction, and help the team deliver consistent work across our games.
The expected balance is approximately 60% hands-on production and 40% team leadership, depending on project needs. You’ll work closely with game design leads and producers, taking ownership of art direction and delivery across our Roblox portfolio, including in-game assets, thumbnails, icons, and interface visuals.
Roblox experience is a plus. Candidates from Unity and other real-time game development backgrounds are welcome.
The role offers potential to grow into an Art Director position as the team and responsibilities develop.
Key Responsibilities
3D Art Production: Create stylized 3D models and textures for real-time games, with strong visual consistency, mobile readability, and efficient asset design.
Thumbnails & Icons: Create and oversee thumbnails, icons, and promotional visuals. Use Roblox Thumbnail Personalization and relevant performance data, including qPTR and CTR where applicable, to guide improvements.
Visual Direction: Set a style guide per game that fits Roblox: stylized or blocky, readable on a phone screen, in line with what performs on the platform today. A direction in days, not weeks.
Team Leadership: Lead and develop artists in France, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Coach the team, review assets, maintain quality standards, and coordinate workloads with producers.
Interface & Monetization Visuals: Create and review shop visuals, game-pass icons, limited items, and event screens. Work with Game Design and Development to support clear interfaces and conversion goals.
Live Updates: Seasonal content, limited items, events. Keep a calendar of visual updates that gives players a reason to come back.
Pipeline & Performance: Asset budgets (polygons, textures, materials), frame rate on low-end Android devices, Blender to Roblox Studio pipeline, AI-assisted production tools.
Platform Rules: Age-appropriate content, Roblox community and IP guidelines, avatar compatibility.
How Success Is Measured
Direct areas of responsibility:
Art Quality: Assets that meet the style guide and quality bar of each game.

Delivery: Art assets delivered on schedule across all live projects.
Team Development: Clear feedback, effective coaching, and consistent team output.
